While Kathy Bates' performances is not as enticing as her Annie Wilkes in "Misery," "Dolores Claiborne" is a subtle, interesting and quite overlooked Stephen King adaptation.

Although I consider Dolores Claiborne one of Stephen King's weakest novels, it makes for a pretty good, and emotional, film. Kathy Bates and Jennifer Jason Leigh are both great in their roles. Bleak at times, but that's to be expected.

Enjoyed the movie a lot. David Strathairn plays a role that really makes you hate him, but then again who hasn't wanted to take a block of wood to someones back every once in a while.
