The trailer promised more than what is given. This is not a thriller, horror, or mystery. There are, however, heavy psychological implications. The psyche of our main character crumbles over time, but the reasons are completely unknown. Juno Temple is great at conveying this change. All of the actors convey this as a believable situation. It's well acted and directed, but the story becomes a letdown. 'Magic Magic' is a realistic portrayal that left me unfulfilled as it became unraveled.
