This is a movie about the simple things in life, of which Amelie embraces. She is very sweet, and innocent, and caring of other people. It is beautifully made. I do not really know what else to say about this film, except that it is perfect.

Sweet, charming, smart, romantic, funny. Amélie makes people notice little good things in life. It makes people smile. Lovely french movie with great script and good actors. Full of little details. Visually beautiful. Oh and soundtrack! It's perfect for this film. This movie makes me want to visit Paris and make strangers happy.

I was definitely a late arriver on this film, I didn't actually see it until 2005, and when I did I thought it was awesome! There are a lot of things that make this film unique, the characters are very colorful, they have obscure and strange personalities that all seem to mesh in someway with the rest of the people around them. Amelie has a wild imagination that she uses to her advantage, while she often gets lost in her own creativity, it usually leads to some interesting results.

I do not understand this film. To me it was boring and a little bit romantic. There were a few scenes that were ok.
