"Falling Down" is maybe a little overbearing, but it isn't wrong as a parody on the concept of the forgotten man. It's a provocative and still relevant thriller with some moments and bits of dialogue that have aged quite well.

Gripping and sometimes funny thriller about a white-collar worker pushed over the edge and winds up going postal. Michael Douglas and Robert Duvall both give excellent performances. Joel Schumacher's direction keeps things engaging.

The best aspects of this film are the absence of any line between right or wrong and the unpredictable nature of the main character. Douglas has the perfect emotionally confused performance that gives the movie it's unclassifiable identity. It's a bold film that can be interpreted openly and that's what makes it standout.

Joel Schumacher crafts a uniquely paranoid thriller with an equally unique anti-hero. Michael Douglas manages to portray a simmering rage that gives this film demented life. The film doesn't resolve in a traditionally happy way and raises many questions about society and the working man.

There was some racist sentiment in this movie. But still, it was a pretty decent movie. I don't usually like Michael Douglas movies, so that's saying a lot coming from me. The best part of the movie is the Sir Mix-A-Lot big butt that's in the background in the scene where he shoots the shit out of the pay-phone. lol.

This is what happens when a man has had enough. Though it is somewhat frustrating to watch him spiral out of control. Most of the time you can relate to everything that is happening to him. It is Office Space with less comedy and more all-American psycho. If you like Michael Douglas check this one out.

Tarkin nailed it--the beauty of this movie is the way michael douglas is able to draw you in so that you sympathize with his worst of all bad days. He gets crazier but you end up feeling that he is more and more justified. One negative I see is the racial stereotypes the situations in the movie perpetuate.

It's layered with a thin veneer of humor, but Falling Down is a grim look at modern society and small injusticies that mount over time to break you down. The main character may be crazy, but you can't help but identify with him.
