"Captain America: Civil War" by Yojimbo
Yojimbo - wrote on 08/13/2018
When Steve Rogers’ estranged comrade-at-arms James “Bucky” Barnes is charged with an act of terrorism that costs the life of the King of Wakanda, he finds himself on the wrong side of the law and his fellow Avengers are sent to hunt him down.
Despite the monicker, the third Captain America film is an Avengers movie in all but name. The plot revolves around a schism that forms within the team when the U.N. imposes a new charter which demands oversight concerning their activities, and this conceit works reasonably well as neither side is 100% or 100% wrong making for some nice moral grey areas. It is a shame that the central theme – that of the fact that The Avengers are an unlicensed organisation of vigilantes who wreak mayhem wherever they go with no actual legal authority – …

Civil War sets the Avengers franchise to rise

Captain America Civil War, a new captain america film that stores a lot of emotional weight to the character super heroes so called the Avengers, to fight for. The main duo is between Steve and Stark.
Steve fights for something he is worth for and Stark wants to punch him on his perfect teeth. Civil War is a film that grips with its plot, that allows avengers to decide to follow or not. Some agree, some do not. So clash starts now. The whole Civil War plot, is revealed in one scene. Rest of 120 minutes is pure fun. But there are twists and turns at right points, crazy fan boy moments, and the emotional rift of Stark and Steve bursts open towards the end. No spoilers, though. Russo brothers pack a solid entertainer for most of them. Every fight scene, except the shaky cam sequences give …

A new chapter in Marvel’s cinematic universe
Evan Wheatley - wrote on 10/21/2016
Eight years ago, Marvel took the reigns of the superhero genre with “Iron Man.” Twelve films later and Batman, Superman and the X-Men are still playing catch up. With both the comic book fan and casual moviegoer in the palm of its hand, Marvel could have played it safe with this one. A run-of-the-mill action fest would have brought in the dough, while also entertaining the masses. But, yet again, Marvel showed us why it’s number one.
“Captain America: Civil War” poses a question that may have crossed your mind while watching “The Avengers” or “Age of Ultron”: in the midst of the mind-blowing action taking place on screen, how many innocent civilians were killed?
Within the first half hour of the film, the Avengers are shown footage from major events in past Marvel …

Zehn Filme

I Should Probably Like It More Than I Like It

Stepping back and looking at, it really is a feat what they pull off and how they’re able to juggle all the different characters and their story lines, while still managing to introduce a new threat/villain. Everything they pull off I’m sure was hard as heck to do. And I did like the movie. It was funny and the action sequences were good. It’s all there, and yet… I just didn’t care that much at the end of the day. I’m not sure if it’s because I’m personally getting a little burnt out on superhero movies, or I’m not buying into the stakes of the movie. It was funny and fun to look at, but never thrilling or intense to me.
Paul Rudd was pretty amazing though. RDJ always fantastic. Elizabeth Olson is too pretty I’m jealous. And the new Spider-Man is good. Though, the …

It All Lead to This

‘Captain America: Civil War’ is a huge step up for the entire MCU franchise. It satisfies beyond belief by (simultaneously) being the best possible continuation to the stories present in ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’ and the two ‘Avengers’ films. The global consequences of those films are taken into account with the governments of the world stepping in to police the actions of The Avengers. All but two of the characters seen in every Marvel film (thus far) make an appearance. That’s a LOT of superheroes. Each are given clear emotional reasoning as to which side of the issue they fall on. This makes the inner conflict between the heroes reach new dramatic depths. The main issue is also entangled in Captain’s conflicting relationships with his lifelong …

Great film

The bad news is, there are around ten films going ahead in "Captain America: Civil War," which is no less than seven too much. The good news is, a large portion of them are fun, and there are sufficient animating minutes to lift the motion picture to Marvel's top level.
In spite of the fact that Thor, the Hulk and other repeating characters have disappeared this time (with to some degree obscure clarifications for their nonattendance), no one's going to botch "Common War" for a chamber piece. Trailers sold this portion as a story of intra-Avengers fighting, set off by the administration's request that Captain America (Chris Evans) permit the capture of his old companion The Winter Soldier, otherwise known as Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan), a professional killer whose ethical compass …

Let's be honest this is Avengers 2.5 but who cares

This is the movie that Batman versus Superman: Dawn of Justice SHOULD have been but BVS;DOJ should have been BETTER than Captain America: Civil War. But here we are and Civil War is perhaps the best superhero sequel since the Dark Knight eight years ago. The action is fucking phenomenal. What people have seen in the commercials is a fraction of what actually happens. The airport battle alone is the best action scene in a comic-book movie ever made. What the Russo brothers do to balance out the action, the drama, the humor, and the heart of their superhero movies needs to be studied by every other film maker trying to NOT be Zack Snyder. It continues to build and expand upon the Marvel Cinematic Universe while taking risks that feel earned instead of exploitative. I'm all the more excited …

A War for the Ages

Enjoy this while you can - it's probably the last time we're going to get a lot of these heroes together until 2018 when the Infinity War films start up. And I have to say, it's a fitting film to send off a lot of these heroes, because it's pretty much everything you could want in a superhero film: lots of action, a good storyline, some new introductions, humor, passion and it spells some long-reaching implications for the future.
While the Civil War series wasn't the most popular in the comic world, the film doesn't get bogged down by trying to make things too dark (hello Batman v Superman) and instead makes the rift between Iron Man (and the pro-registration) and Captain America (in the anti-registration team) quite serious, but still maintain a big of light that made the first …

Captain America: Civil War - Movie Review

Even friends can be your biggest enemies.
Captain America: Civil War is behind "Iron Man", "Winter Soldier", and "Guardians of the Galaxy" of being the best movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (Or MCU for short). The movie has it's flaws, but that doesn't stop me from liking it. I don't know about you, but the Captain America series are the only movies in the MCU that actually get better with it's squeals. The action, the effect's, the humor, the characters, and it's stunt work has improved from the first movie.
What this movie dose so well is that it's really hard to pick a side, because both sides have a very good reason to be at each others throats. One minute I'm rooting for Tony, and the next I'm rooting for Cap. It's conflict like this that I couldn't decide for myself on …
