An awesome premise for a science fiction movie wasted on a seemingly small budget B-movie. That happens to have a pretty decent cast; Kirk Douglas and Martin Sheen know they're in a dumb movie but play it straight. Seeing jet fighters fight Japanese Zeros is cool. But the pacing is awful. So many scenes just seem to exist so they can parade the interior operating of a U.S. aircraft carrier. Which is impressive up to a point. But then you have to tell an actual story.

Enjoyable time travel fantasy that dumps a modern day aircraft carrier in the path of Japanese forces on the eve of the attack on Pearl Harbour. Kirk Douglas and Martin Sheen add weight to the cast and despite the rather TV movie production value and the fact that the idea isn't fully fleshed out thanks to the cop out of an ending, it's still an entertaining diversion.
