Teen thriller with the most intimidating villain - Death itself. Some of the twists are a bit hokey but the creativity of the death scenes is commendable. The underlying theme of fate vs choice is interesting but let's be honest, most viewers are here to see the characters killed in various ways. And it does not disappoint. Tony Todd has less screen time than I expected but he is easily the most memorable actor.

Tries to be "A Nightmare on Elm Street" for the "Dawson's Creek" generation, but with only a mere fraction of the creativity.

Ignoring the sequels, this movie isn't half bad and worth a watch.

The first Final Destination film isn't all that bad. The premise is simple enough and is enough to spawn palpable tension throughout the rest of the film. Sure, it's ridiculous, but isn't a horror film, above all, supposed to be scary? At that, Final Destination succeeds.

A mainstream horror hit that is actually deserving of it's praise. I had fun watching it, when it was first released and I still do every time I revisit it.

Devon Sawa always has his mouth open. That's one of the main things I noticed about this film because it makes us want to pay attention to minute details. I like how certain horror films force us to pay attention because that's rarely explored in that genre. I like this film a lot because its idea is original. Also, it's a good springboard to a better, more in-depth sequel. The only complaint I have about this movie is that an hour or so in, I kind of stopped caring about what would happen. I just wanted to see who will die next and how they will die. Still, it held my interest because the death scenes are creatively executed. I wish more horror films these days have an intriguing premise like this one.

It's been so long since I've seen this, but this film was everything I wanted a film and more. It inspired two good sequels. And I hope there are at least two additional sequels made in this series. Or 14. I don't care.
