This is a super low-budget horror film - as with most "indie" horror films, the story, dialogue and characters play second fiddle to the over-the-top gore prevalent throughout. That being said, I didn't think either the characters or script were half-bad for being on a shoestring budget - and they even had some fun with it. However, the main draw here is for gorehounds - there are a lot of on-screen killings - from decapitations to disembowelments to arms and legs being cut off - all accompanied by fountains of blood spewing everywhere (hence the NC-17 rating). If you are a fan of this type of horror, it's quite the experience, but general audiences will probably abhor it.
