As much potential as the movie had, I evidently saw "Dope" as a pretentious and uninteresting waste of young talent.

I absolutely loved the first 20 minutes of this, but after that it got bogged down in a busy and increasingly ludicrous plot. The characters and the setting and the 90s hip hop soundtrack were terrific though.
