This movie is about Pierce Brosnan who's the king of France and he wants to kill a mermaid to live forever. But his daughter befriends the mermaid and falls in love with a sailor instead a baron so this complicates things. The movie is not very good yet it has arguably too much story going on. It almost feels like a rejected Pirates of the Caribbean script that got reworked as a Y/A movie.
