Freedom Writers is about a young teacher inspires her class of at risk students to learn tolerance, apply themselves, and pursue education beyond high school. The movie was eh, but i found this movie to be really underrated and kind of forgettable to be honest.

Maybe the producers and directors didn't see the one Michelle Pfieffer was in. Maybe they should have. Just because they put McDreamy in this movie doesn't mean that we weren't going to notice that this was Dangerous Minds II. Apparently this was a true story. So what. Still a copycat.

It was good, perhaps the most poorly marketed movie since The Score or something. Even though it seemed to make an emotionally impact on me while I was watching it, I have sort of lost the enthusiasm over time (five whole months later). I don't get why Hillary Swank gets all these crazy roles, yet she does not seem like a true top Hollywood actress to me. Lucky I guess. This one bombed at the box office though.
