Requiring a lot of thought and patience, "High-Rise" never makes its metaphor of social class clear or engaging.

High Rise blends psychological suspense with social commentary in this claustrophobic and unnerving thriller. While it does become rather intense or downright dark at times, there remains a sardonic sense of humor. The cast is excellent. The direction while confident does not make the plot understandable though at times and the editing is chaotic.
