Great performances, a riveting story and visually amazing - Martin Scorsese does it again - and he does it well. I won't say it's my favorite out of all his films, but it certainly helps solidify him as one of the great modern directors.

I would have to say this is one of Scorsese's better films. Daniel Day-Lewis and Leonardo DiCaprio display some pretty well acted scenes and dialogue throughout this entire move. One of the more surprising aspects of this movie is Cameron Diaz. She does a fairly good ob in this movie.

Incredibly well shot, and somewhat well acted, Dicaprio and Diaz are not perfect in this. The problem though is the music is very odd in some places like the opening battle sequence and the movie is all over the place and cannot decide what it wants to be about. If it chose just one subject and followed it, the movie would have been much more effective. You can do multiple subjects in one film but you also have to get it to work and Scorsese does not do it this time.

I liked this movie. It's a Daniel Day-Lewis movie, so you know it's going to be good.

One of the most boring movies I've ever seen, for simply fact that is a Scorsese. I'm not a big fan of him, but he has his masterpieces (Taxi driver). This one is a flaw. Fake characters and boring story that seems to never get a point. It might be saved by Day Lewis, but almost. I mean, that man is not good enough to stand up the average and pretentious movie.

This movie made me a strong believer in Leonardo DiCaprio...but Lewis steals the show as a perfect "Bill the Butcher." As always with Scorsese, it has perfect music, great cinematography, and wonderful revenge story. It is just short of greatness...

The characters are developed so well that it is hard to find a bad guy by the end. This movie blows me away everytime I watch it.
