No one should be able to cook up something this utterly twisted yet fascinating but Darren Aronofsky. I can see why the film was so polarizing, but with a knockout performance from Jennifer Lawrence - and a strong supporting cast - and a completely out-of-left field ending - well, it certainly leaves an impression.

Vexing, surreal, and understandably polarizing, anyone familiar with Aronofksy's previous works knows these are the exact characteristics he aims for.
