Such a let down from the amazing original Godfather. The storyline for present Michael was boring and tore my favorite character to shreds. Most of the characters I didn't give a crap about. The past storyline about Michael's family was a little bit interesting but not enough to save the movie. Watch the Godfather, know that he kills his older brother Frado, and then skip to the much better third movie.

A fantastic masterpiece that I consider better than the original.

The only film that rivals this in terms of cinematic brilliance is Francis Ford Coppola's "The Godfather: Part 1," and is one of the few films that can always be watched for a good sense of humor, intrigue, thrills, and brilliant, awe-striking performances by Al Pacino and Robert De Niro. De Niro shines through his predecessor's performance and does equally, if not even better. A great crime drama.

A treatise on the nature and accumulation of power. Filmmaking genius in every respect - script, direction, acting, score... take your pick.

Some aspects that makes this movie unique: First of all, it's a sequel/prequel. That's awesome. Because Coppola takes the time on each part, so its like a time travel you make, in a easy way. The acting is magnificent. Is one the best actings from american actors that I've seen. Specially Robert De Niro. The music, the photography. Everything. Better than the first part to me. I truly masterpiece, and maybe technically with Citizen Kane, the best american movie ever.

Rivals the first, the acting is just as good and the story just as strong. A bit more action and reactions keep me glued every time. Godfather-a-thons rule!

The best crime/mob movie of all time, only better than the first because we are blessed with both De Niro and Pacino.
