A somber dramatic retelling of Bernie Madoff's ponzi scheme unraveling and its impact on his family's life. Robert De Niro is unflinchingly cold and detached as the brilliant but morally bankrupt Madoff. Alessandro Nivola nearly walks off with the movie as his devoted older son who is desperate for his affection.
