While you can tell the director, stars, etc. are all devoutly concerned with the tumultuous crisis at its center, "The Last Face" is nonetheless a confusing, self-important slog that buries a gruesome global issue in garden-variety melodrama and cinematographic imagery that looks like it belongs in a UNICEF ad.

How do you go from "The Pledge", "Into the Wild", and now this? It's quite shocking how poorly made this movie was. Javier Bardem and Charlize Theron delivering one of the worst performance of their career is unspeakable.
