Macaulay Culkin trying to act like a cold killer is too adorable to be taken seriously. Elijah Wood was pretty good in the movie, but the film itself sucks.

Very powerful performances by Elijah Wood and Macaulay Culkin who portray cousins who each is the antithesis of the other. With an incredibly thrilling storytelling pattern, John Patrick Shanley constructs a well-written masterpiece of what really drives people bananas...and when it happens. The most amazing thing about this film is the way that the scares come - not BAM in your face JUMP heart is racing, but in a much more subtle way, rather like an ambiance of fear that resonates with exhausting ferocity.

This movie was crazy from what I remember. Very good stuff coming from some very young actors.
