I really enjoyed this movie. My favorite part is when Lorraine Bracco stuffs the gun down her panties. Or, was it a bag of cocaine? lol. I can't quite remember. Anyway, it was awesome.

If the Godfather wasn't around this would be my favorite mob movie. If even one of the actors was taken out of the movie it wouldn't have been as effective. Everyone put forth brilliant performances, especially Ray Liotta and Paul Sorvino. Not taking away from Jow Pesci's well deserved Oscar win

I really liked this movie. It was violent and showed a side of organized crime life that spells out the attraction of being part of a "family" and at the same time, the danger within.

Great movie with some great time period scenes and music. Seems to glorify the mob and the character downfall isn't as dramatic as other Scorsese movies. Not one of Scorsese's best.

One of my favorite movies of all time. This is Scorsese's stylistic masterpiece, a mob drama based on the real-life rise and fall of half-Irish gangster-turned-informant Henry Hill. The performances are amazing, as well as the cinematography, the music, and ...(read more)the dialogue. And let's not forget the narration, possibly the best use of voiceover I've seen in a film. So many memorable scenes: the Copacabana Steadicam shot... the "Layla" montage... the entire May 11th, 1980 sequence... Henry's ending monologue... Even after seven viewings, I'm still not tired of it. 5 out of 5 stars from me. Oh yeah, and Joe Pesci is a funny guy.

One of the few ultimate masterpieces and Scorsese's best. I have a problem with the way Henry treats his wife Karen, but that is life, I guess. I like everything about this movie from the direction, script, actors down to the cameraman Michael Ballhaus.

Goodfellas is the best movie about organized crime ever made. I love the Godfather and Once Upon a Time in America but they've got nothing on Martin Scorsese's masterpiece. The acting is spot on and it's Scorsese at his most audacious. Easily the best movie of the 90's except for possibly Schindler's List but it's not really fair to compare anything to Schindler's List. If you haven't seen Goodfellas, watch it now.

I liked this movie. I fear that it is over rated, but still a damn good movie. The cast and the music make up for the slow pace and lagging plot.
