Great performances, excellent cinematography, and decently directed by Yann Demange. But man, the movie itself is so forgettable. I watched this weeks ago and I completely forgot to login this in. Not only on my Letterboxd, but on my IMDB page, which I usually login first. I don't know what it is. There's so much to admire in this, and yet it keeps slipping out of my mind like a wet soap in someone's hand.

While the material has already been better disclosed in a thorough and insightful documentary, "White Boy Rick" is a compellingly acted true-crime story with some surprisingly affecting moments about family and risking everything you have to get what you don't.

okay so i want sure about this movie so i didnt see it in theaters however i rented a copy recently and the story was positiviley captivating the movie had a ton going on the action was nonstop the story was great so much fun if i had to gripe it would be that the end was terribly sad watching him get pulled away from his baby by the police
