It's a one-note, single-dimension flick about a monster in the basement. Lots of blood and gore, but barely enough engaging story to even earn a passing glance.

Though, I haven't watched every film adaptation of the King's writings, I will say that this is the worst of the ones I have.

Yeah, this is pretty much scraping the bottom of the Stephen King adaptation barrel here. King is pretty hit or miss (mostly miss) when it comes to getting his work right. This is a Miss. As in, if you miss this, consider yourself lucky.
