It's not as good as the first one. But it's hard not to smile at the fun musical numbers and the cast is all in on the retro teen-comedy hijinks. But the pacing really isn't as fast or energetic as the first movie. There are dialogue heavy scenes that slow to a crawl. The two leads, Maxwell Caulfield and future star Michelle Pfeiffer are fine.

I have difficulty tolerating GOOD musicals. And this is a really, really BAD one.

Terrible sequel to the original 'Grease'. The songs are lame, the plot is silly. Should never have been made.

A sequel in spirit, so to speak. It's only half as good as the first. Some hate it, but I find it quite funny do to the abundance of cheese.

While not quite up there with the worst sequels ever, it's not too far away. The characters, the songs, the story - nothing can match up to the original and it's a wonder they even tried. If you have fond memories of Grease, do yourself a favor and skip this one.

I like Grease but i do not love it. I don't dislike Grease 2, but its not even half the film Grease was. It lacks the chemistry of the lead characters, and while some of the songs are catchy, they aren't as well written as the songs from the original. The problem here is that most of the song and dance set pieces don't do anything for the story, they don't move it forward, it just kinda grinds the film to a halt. Maxwell Caulfield is a shabby male lead but Michelle Pfeiffer is gorgeous and decent as the films heroine. Grease 2 is as flat as a pancake but it somehow strangely watchable.

this movie will never be able to live up to the first grease, but it was half way decent.
