Doug Hutchison should have been nominated for Best Supp. Actor at the Oscars. Although Michael Clarke Duncan did deserve his nomination. Tom Hanks always brings his A game and puts on another great performance. The film is a masterpiece when it comes to fantasy and miracle like storytelling. I really enjoyed the whole movie even though it was long it didn't miss a beat. Great movie.

There are several things about this show that I loved. Hanks is wonderful as the hero. Duncan is endearing as the simple-minded, angelic Coffey. I especially loved Hutcinson as and Rockwell as the bad guys. Heartwarming and heart-wrenching.

An interesting film that is just nice to watch although it could have been shorter. I liked seeing what happened in the prison and the guards for the whole film, although it could have used some clever editing. besides the length the only problem I have with the film is the ending. There is obviously suppose to be a Christ like character but it fails at the end to establish why the guards did not try to save him more. I think they should have showed an opposition in a better way like the one that was against Jesus. Instead it seems odd and forced to make haphazard ending.

Not near as good as the books. But, ok, read the novel, then see the movie.

Frank Darabont once again takes on Stephen King (Remember Shawshank Redemption?) with results that are good, but didn't have near the impact as his previous work. It still has that emotional appeal, it just doesn't resonate this time.

I liked it. Some of it was good, but a lot of the times, it felt like a minnie series on a small sound stage, rather than a real Death Row Jail. Good performances as always by Hanks and company.
