Think The Odd Couple but an older version of the characters. Well written, good cast which includes Jack Lemmon, Walter Matthau and Burgess Meredith. I remember laughing a lot throughout the film with a few warm, sweet messages in the conclusion. Simple yet effective and humorous. I'm sure most people their age really act similarly. Grumpy Old Men is a good comedy that can be enjoyed with friends in your twilight years.

This movie is hilarious! Minus the Bad News Bears and the sequel to this movie, this is really the only good movie I've seen from either Jack Lemmon or Walter Matthau.

One of the better comedies starring the Lemmon and Mattau, though I think Burgess Meredith steals every scene he's in. The comedic duo play well off one another to make this a memorable film that is at times funny and touching.

When this movie came out it was one of the funniest movies that I had ever seen. The greatest part was that it didn't have to go out of its way to achieve the humor. Jack Lemmon and Walter Mathau have proven over the years that their combination in just about any comedy is gold. They play best friends who over the years have become bitter enemies. John Gustafson's (Lemmon) father played by Burgess Meredith takes the cake in this one. His best stuff are the outtakes at the end of the movie. This a great holiday movie to share with the family.
