The most perfect horror saga created is by far Halloween. Most of the Halloween films were good (1,2,4,7,8,9,10) and they are what started this kind of movie. If it wasn't for Michael Myears being a B.A. then Freddy, Jason, Ghostface, etc never would have come into the picture.

This movie is quite possibly the best horror movie of all time. Back when scary movies were actually scary, John Carpenter brought one of the most horrifying figures of American cinema to life. Michael Myers has been in several of my nightmares, and many others as well, considering this movie has survived the test of time and is on every single Halloween night. Buy buy buy this movie if you are truly a fan of horror at its most classical apex.

Simply put this film shows that John Carpenter is a Masterful storyteller and a genius behind the camera. From the single continuous shot at the begining till the end, this one is a classic not to be missed.

This is a classic that should not be missed. It is my all time favorite horror movie. Hands down the scariest film I've ever seen.

Possibly the greatest slasher movie ever and it wasn't that gory.Michael Myers might not be as scary as Freddy Krueger but he is still creepy

A very influential horror movie, that is responsible for a lot of slasher movies, all of which are inferior to this one. John Carpenter has a very good eye of what works and what doesn't for a horror movie, keeping everything very simple and effective. Not to mention the legendary score, that manages to make one uneasy just on it's own. It does take a few things from the earlier released Black Christmas, but what it takes, it makes to work even better than they worked in that movie.

While its importance is obvious to the horror genre and the music is simple yet original, I blame every horror movie cliche on this movie. "Oh look, she dropped her keys while starting her car." Give me a break - but with less cheese. Ok.

One of the scariest movies ever made. It doesn't have all the special effects and gore, but what it does have is a lot of intrigue. It leaves you guessing about where Michael Meyers is and whether he is human or another abomination. The scene to watch for is when Jamie Lee Curtis is sitting in the doorway and Michael Meyers is slowly getting up behind her. It is one of the scariest scenes of all time.

One of the classic horror films of our time. Exceeds expectations by leaving more to the imagination than most slasher flicks. Plus, that Halloween theme just sticks with you. Both fun and frightening - the perfect combination.
