When "Bird Box" was over, I felt like I had sat through a truncated first season of a really forgettable TV series that bears striking resemblances to "A Quiet Place," "Children of Men," and other far superior end of humanity movies.

Bird Box is silly as hell -- but if you just go with it, you'll find yourself totally wrapped up in it. It's a fine, solid thriller with appropriately tense moments and one or two downright terrifying moments, done well and with confidence by director Susanne Bier.
