Raucous action thriller that takes inspiration from the classic story 'The Most Dangerous Game'. Director John Woo handles the action with ease although there is way too much slow-motion. Jean-Claude Van Damme is not the greatest actor in the world but he's a solid action lead. Lance Henriksen and Arnold Vosloo (Imhotep from the Mummy movies) make for a nasty pair of villains. The finale is an explosive shoot-em-up though the movie does end kind of abruptly.

John Woo's class as an action director and Lance Henriksen make this a cut above Jean Claude Van Damme's usual rubbish, but it still has one massive drawback. Jean Claude Van Damme is still in it.

One of Van Damme's better action pictures. John Woo's directing helps the action a great deal.
