Frances McDormand gives another standout performance and the use of actual modern nomads (not paid actors) lends more realism to the story. The cinematography is gorgeous as well. All the good, however, doesn't help me connect with the story itself and, overall, it moved incredibly slow for my taste. I'm sure others will get more out of it but for me it was just pretty good, but not life-changing.

Even if you don't find yourself moved to the brink of tears by this 21st century "The Grapes of Wrath," I think we can all agree that few movies of the last two decades are as beautifully shot or passionately made as "Nomadland."
