Well inspired, maybe even a little over-inspired, "Hercules" is full of wildcard qualities that understandably make it one of the more divisive Disney features.

Nothing exciting to this film. I did like the soundtrack though. Show it to the kids. Not a movie that is worth the watch for an adult by himself.

Suffers from odd music choices, too many modern/pop-culture references and lack of good characters. But it makes up for part of those problems, with an interesting villain (and cool set of titans) and a fast paced story.

The fact that Disney severely clipped Greek and Roman mythology for this film makes it sort of a cookie cutter and often forgettable version of the legendary story of Hercules. Everything from the songs to the animation is fun, but, once the film is done, soon forgotten.

"Hercules" is a fun film, with interesting art direction and character design. However, It earned a SmokeScreeners rating of 3 Butts, mostly because Hades was seen puffing on a cigar. www.smokescreeners.org

One of the last, good Disney traditionally-animated films. I realize this is geared towards kids, but they play pretty loose with mythology here, even if they flesh out the character. The songs aren't classic, but good enough to get by.
