Out of all the recent Michael Bay movies, this movie and 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi are his better ones. Ambulance is a thrilling movie, as it will keep you entertained throughout. The way the camera moves around the action scenes is so batshit insane, but I loved it. However, the film can be extremely cheesy and forced at times. I feel that this will appeal to American audiences more.

Michael Bay serves up what he does best - car chases, shoot-outs and explosions and we get to ride along with Jake Gyllenhaal, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Eiza González, who all have great chemistry. Still, the movie over-stays its welcome and is too slick for its own good. I prefer this over Transformers but it's nothing you haven't come to expect from Bay.

Michael Bay exchanges alien robots for a more old-fashioned action thriller. The chase scenes and shoot-outs are all excellent;Michael Bay still has a keen eye for action scenes and gunplay and cars flipping over. And yes, explosions. But the movie suffers from a bloated running time longer than necessary. And the humor does not always land. Jake Gyllenhaal goes all bug-eyed as the more ruthless half of a band robbing pair of adoptive brothers.
