My personal favorite of Brooks. I seem to laugh more at this ludicrous take on world history than all his other parodies that came after 'Frankenstein' and 'Saddles'.

A very funny movie, but one of my least favorite of the Mel Brooks films.

Imperfect, but the Spanish Inquisition sequence alone earns it its rating.

This movie is a little more off beat than Blazing Saddles, everyone that I have run into that hasn't seen this movie has asked me if I have see part 2 or not. Explaining that the fact that there is no other parts is essentially another joke usually leaves me telling them to just watch the movie. Covering a few different ages in time this movie has plenty of laughs.
