It looks beautiful and gothic with great performances. But other than that, it didn't do it for me. Also, a missed opportunity not to include the song Pale Blue Eyes by Velvet Underground, somehow.

It's nothing but atmosphere, blanketed around a squirrely and undercooked screenplay.

This movie is not badly made but it's pretty boring to watch. Christian Bale is not terrible necessarily but I wasn't enthralled with his acting.
