Engrossing and engaging documentary about William Gates and Arthur Agee (and their families) on their quest to become part of the NBA dream. This goes well beyond mere basketball - everything from race to school, family issues and more - it's a lot deeper than I was expecting and worth the time spent watching.

An extensive and rewarding documentary. This is an involving tale filled with compelling drama. If you think this is just another documentary about the sport of basketball, then you are missing out.

If you stick with it, this is an engaging and emotionally-involving documentary. (I say stick with it because the movie is about three hours long.) The film raises a lot of interesting questions about poverty and education, as well as the recruitment and training processes of student athletes. It is also a strong reminder of how small the percentage is of student athletes who actually turn pro and how life moves on after their sports glory days come and go. One of the best documentaries ever made, hands down.

I watched this movie a lot when it first came out. I think I'd still enjoy it.
