Hostel Part II is the next level above Hostel. Hostel is a film in which critics called torture porn because the film had amazing levels of both sex and violence. Hostel II elevates everything we saw in the first movie and pushes it to the extreme. While we do have new characters and deaths, it is almost a remake of the first film. As it deals with the same aspect of bidding for torture, it is both scary and gory.

Eli Roth is the man which brought us Cabin Fever, one of my all time favorite horror movies. Cabin Fever jump started Eli's career into film, and afterwards he brough us Hostel. Hostel Definitely Hostile

I admit, I've never seen the first Hostel, and after seeing this, I don't really want to. If you've heard about this movie being extremely violent, you couldn't be more right. Not only is it extremely bloody, but it's very disturbing and mortifying, just the whole thought of it. But that isn't the reason I didn't like "Hostel 2." It was boring, bland, and just plain dumb. In fact, it's so bad I can easily call it 100 minutes of your life you're never gonna get back. And to show you how strongly I feel, this is all I'm going to write. Don't waste your time. If your looking for a good, bloody horror flick, try "The Hills Have Eyes" or the "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" remake. Some may say that I'm exaggerating about this, but once you watch it, you may just agree with me.

Hostel II picks up right where the predecessor left off - with our one survivor from the previous film trying to adjust to life after his ordeal. If you know what happens to survivors in other horror sequels, you know what to expect.
Hostel II is a decent sequel. It has a better story, better acting and more gratuitous scenes - if not quite as shocking as it was in the original. This time the focus shifts between the three victims - this time a trio of women - the rich girl, a bookish, shy girl and a promiscuous sexpot - and their quest to find a great hot springs in Slovakia. The second group is two men who have come to Slovakia because they are eager to join the "hunting" club by killing two of the said girls.
If Eli Roth had told Hostel II from the perspective of the men, I …
