Unnecessary and awful sequel

A pitiful end to a movie franchise that should have been better. Not even Jason Statham can save it.
The editing is very sloppy and the dialogue is shockingly bad. Even for a film series chock full of bad one-liners. Expect a lot of poorly shot action scenes mixed with video-game levels of cgi.
Most of the second act is confined to a tanker ship and it’s not very interesting for a location. There’s a solid twenty minutes where half of the cast is just locked in a room. Stallone is “killed off” at some point and I actually forgot he was even in the movie for a while.
It’s very bizarrely constructed in terms of plotting. The director should stay away from making action movies ever again. This is easily one of the very worst movies of 2023.
