Except for the transformative performances from Cooper and Mulligan, this biographical drama on one of the most famous composers who ever lived is crushingly ordinary. I could never figure out what I was supposed to find so fascinating about this man, and before it was even halfway over, I'd lost pretty much all interest in "Maestro."
