The third film to successfully go from "fake trailer during Grindhouse" to "actual movie" and, surprisingly, it's right up there with Eli Roth's best films. A kind of mix of Scream with classic 80s horror (Happy Birthday to Me and others), it has plenty of gory kills, a fair bit of humor and lots of misdirection. Overall, color me impressed and certainly give it a go if you're a horror fan.

This actually would fall right inline with the "Scream" franchise. Just insert Pilgrim mask for Ghostface mask. Its got a good sense of humor and adds some truly memorable kills. It won't break much new ground in the slasher genre but it does perform the greatest points to make one of the years best in the horror realm. By alternating quite deftly between silly fun and brutality throughout the entire film it kept me intrigued. Better than I thought it would be. My Grade 3 Joints

Me back in 2016: "Why didn't Eli Roth not make this into a movie instead of "Knock Knock" and "Green Inferno"? I'll totally watch it." Present day: Well, here we are. I can't believe my wish came true, but is the film good? It's got flaws and some things could have been better, as the kill scenes could have had a bit more punch to them, as they just end and move on to the next scene. But overall, I enjoyed it. I'm glad it's getting well-received by critics and audiences because if it wasn't, then this review would be me apologizing.
