Netflix's "Shirley" has the noblest of intentions. But it flattens almost everything about Chisholm's career and campaign to a list of wiki footnotes, failing to tell her story with the significance it had.

Shirley Chisholm’s run for president is an interesting choice for a biographical treatment. Even if the movie is kind of predictable. Regina King is great though.
