There are some new characters and situations, but beyond that this feels like a sour retread. Also, most of the new characters are annoying.

Fun family film that hangs on the likability of its characters which have more than a little in common with their human counterparts. Impressive and often beautiful animation from a studio not named Pixar. Definitely holds up to the first film as a worthy sequel.

Cute, but derelict sequel which seems to forget the formula from before that worked in the original. Final Grade: C

Not as good as the first Ice Age but still has a lot of really funny moments. The ending dragged a bit and was a little to serious for me, but there was enough comedy to make this movie worth watching.
