The story is about a young boy goes on a magical journey to New York City with a group of insects inside a gigantic peach. The animation is very good in this movie, but I liked the book more then the film because I thought this movie was a bit to dark and kind of dull at times.

Pretty and visually inventive animation from the same director as The Nightmare Before Christmas aimed squarely at children. It's not as witty but it does share some of its best qualities.

Great movie for kids. The fantastically imaginative and visual story had me coming back time and again. I haven't watched this film in years, but I have a feeling I'll still like it upon revisit.

I think this is the film that comes closest, both in visual style and in tone, to Roald Dahl's unconventional vision of a warped and darkly comic childhood fairytale.
