I'm so happy that Doug Liman went on to make "Edge of Tomorrow". The acting was decent enough and there were some cool little action scenes, but the story is very poor, the characters felt like movie characters and not like actual people.

Character and plot development alike are passed over in lieu of slick action sequences. Unfortunately, that makes it difficult to care about the peril of any of the characters or to feel any attachment to the ridiculous plot points the movie throws at us. "Jumping" is a fascinating and inventive ability, but director Doug Liman should have spent more time on developing his backstory and characters than on the many thrilling action scenes in this movie.

"Jumper" is an adventure,sci-fi movie centers on David Rice (Hayden Christensen) who has an ability to teleport- a jumper. His life turned into an adventure when he discovered and learned this ability of his. But, he is not the only jumper in this world, there are several of them- and would like to kill them. The concept and the very idea is of the coolests, but it seemed flawed looking at the whole picture. This kind of movie is entitled on doing much of explaining. If they don't want to explain, they should have done it smooth- simple enough to just go around with the real thing and less of complicated ideas. Hayden seemed nothing in here, Jamie Bell absolutely outperformed him.

The theme is a cool idea. But unfortunately, that's about as far as it goes.

Aside the pretty cool special FX and amazing locations, Jumper has no real content or story. Non the less the first half of the film is quite entertaining and Jamie Bell does give the movie some character.

An intereting idea. I enjoyed Haydent Christensen's characters, but the rest of the movie was just kinda blah for me. This movie had so much hype in its ads/trailers when it came out, that I really expected that it was going to be something a little more exciting.

A fast-paced, but emotionally-inert thriller with plentiful visual effects attempting to make up for the lack of a full-fledged story; there's no background whatsoever given on the characters' powers or any of the villains and all we have are some lackluster romantic segments and endless chases. Jackson is bland, Bell is annoying and Christensen almost invisible in the proceedings. My advice: Jump to the next film in your netflix que instead. Final Grade: C-

A piece of weightless junk. The unremarkably average O.C. citizen "whatever-her-name-is" - well, let's just say her acting is as forgettable as her name. Hayden? He used every inch of his eyebrows to emote, but in the end he comes off as a Ken doll with a wrinkly forehead. I would say that He and Samuel L. should be ashamed for lazing through this, but the dull writing I'm sure, did nothing to inspire great performances...It's Goyer I'm upset with - an okay concept muddled with T.V. miniseries dialogue. The real question is, was this worth the $1.00 I paid to watch it? With friends, over a cocktail, knowing this is Mystery Science Theater material----oh hell yes!

Better than expected. Good action, interesting enough plot and Hayden Christensen did a good job. I liked the beginning more than I liked the ending, but overall not a bad action movie.
