Hardly one of Disney's greatest, but a vibrant and memorable one all the way.

Based on Rudyard Kipling's tale of a boy raised by wolves, but with the Disney touch, talking animals, and memorable songs. This film is hard to hate with memorable songs that makes you happy.

An absolutely fantastic movie with the best soundtrack of any Disney film. The story and writing is good. But it is the music that made this film great.

'The Jungle Book' is a Disney animated film about a boy who was raised by a family of wolves, who must choose between his jungle friends and man. Mowgli is sent back to humanity by the wolves as Shere-Kahn, a monstrous tiger is coming, who enjoys the taste of 'man-cubs'. Along the way, Mowgli meets the wacky, groovy Baloo the Bear who teaches him the Bear Necessities of life, Bagheera the black panther father figure who protects him, King Louie a rambunctious Orang-utan and Kaa the hypnotic snake who wants him for supper. A fast-paced, funny adventure for the young and the young at heart….

This is a fun animated film from the more abstract phase of Disney animation. The animation here is a bit more surreal and cubist and the plot elements touch upon darker fare. A little light on traditional Disney magic, but still enjoyable.

Easy and breezy to watch. Some good songs like "The Bear Necessities" and a very funny villain (Kaa the snake). I can't fully embrace it though for some reason, especially after reading this hilariously disturbing review: http://www.slantmagazine.com/film/review/the-jungle-blook/3161

A good Disney film, though I never liked this as much as some of the others. Still, the songs are lively, characters likable and a fun story. Though it never was my favorite, it's still a classic Disney treat.

This is by far one of the most well known Disney animated movies. It is a classic, the music is great, in fact some of the songs were so well written there are bands like Big Bad Voo Doo Daddy that take the type they like and perform them live. Their rendition of King Louie's song "Be like you" is a great homage to the original. The animation in this was way before computer animation came about, and so everything was hand animated. Which is amazing because they have great lip syncing, which takes a lot of time, patience and skill for someone that animates by hand. A great movie, that I would recommend all kids and adults to see at least once in their lives.
