Tarantino delivers fast-paced well-delivered violence in one of the best, yet most hysterical B-movie renditions I've seen.

My sister loves this movie, and I'm inclined to agree with her.

I was blown away by this picture. I rarely see movies like this where the plot seems to have a basic thread, but got intricately developed into a more exciting storyline. UMA THURMAN at her best! Of course, who could do it better than DAVID CARRADINE? The illusive sweet taste of revenge.

I honestly do not think this is as good as everyone says. The action's good, and the Crazy 88 bloodbath was insane, but overall, recomend Pulp Fiction over this movie any day.

I have been a fan of Tarantino ever since I first saw Reservoir Dogs and this film has everything a Tarantino film is expected to have. The style of filming is retro and reminds me of a spagetthi western, the fight sequences are astonishing and very very bloody, the acting is not that great but all of the other elements of the film are worth watching and at least for me the acting is almost secondary. I was not disappointed and say to Quentin keep up the great work.

This film, together with part two, is Quentins' hommage to the manga films he watched as child. The story, and particularly the cinematographic beauty of it, demand the eye of movie connaiseurs. All of the references, the similarities and the inspiration can be much better appreciated by people who have a bit of knowledge of old Manga films. The movie can be appreciated on it's own as well of course, but the excessive bloodspraying whe limbs get cut off, the sudden cut to manga and back and the dogged search for revenge may take some getting used to. All in all, it has a filmic beauty and a stroke of genius that could have only come from Quentin!

The entire story is told in volume II which leads me to believe that this was made solely for money. Half stolen from The Bride Wore Black and the other from Lady Snowblood, not only is this movie unoriginal but also pointless.

One of the most enjoyable and well-crafted movies. I love all the characters including Go-Go and Sophie Fatale. Also I don't count The Bride (Uma Thurman) and Vivica A. Fox's character because they're so inherent so the movie that they don't seem like characters, but a main part of the movie.

Kill Bill vol. 1 was the first Q's movie I saw, and i liked it immediately. Brutal, but oh so brilliant. Plot is not complex, but this is Quentin's ode to movies he loves. Kill bill 1 is mix of different styles, and it has beautiful but violent charm. Soundtrack is good as it always is, characters are well acted and cool.

The first, very bloody act, in the Kill Bill saga. Uma Thurman couldn't be a better choice. Revenge has never looked so sexy or sliced so deep. Plus, nothing can beat the Crazy 88 fight for most gratuitous use of a samurai sword.
