An amazing film. Forest Whitaker contibuted one of the best performances that I have ever seen. James McAvoy was also captivating in his role. The film was engrossing, and at times disturbing. It is well put together, suspenseful and highly entertaining.

Pretty good movie. Forest Whitaker deserved his Oscar. However, my main beef was that the James McAvoy character was a composite character based on two or three people, none of them Scottish. However, the President of Uganda was supposedly obsessed with Scottish. I will never look at meat hooks the same way again.

A film that works due mostly to one man: Forest Whitaker, though James McAvoy does a good job as the personal doc to the larger-than-life dictator. It goes from glad to gruesome pretty quickly. It's not perfect, but it works well enough.

Whitiaker is truly sensational in this historical semi biopic. But, that does not mean it is a good movie. With some fantastic acting, good set pieces/locations I expected much more. The drama was there at times, but nothing too special.
