Although the premise makes for some somewhat contrived scenes, Jim Carrey's commitment to his role and comic energy elevates the film. The emotional conclusion actually feels fairly satisfying and believable, for a comedy.

Fletcher Reede (Jim Carrey) is a lawyer who loves his job too much. His son Max (Justin Cooper) wishes his father won't lie again. This particular Carrey flick didn't amuse compared to his other efforts since the drama didn't quite match up to the premise. His acting improved but the totality of the movie was mainly for kids. The film only shines because of a single performance, which doesn't really make a good film. Liar Liar had some cheesy scenes and fantastic moment.

This movie was hilarious! Absolutely one of the most hilarious movies ever!
