Kinder - wie ärgerlich können sie sein, vor allem, wenn sie bereits über 30 Jahre alt sind! Immer noch pubertierende "Youngsters", die nachmittags im Schwimmbad abhängen oder Kunststückchen auf ihrem Skateboard vorführen. "Youngsters" sind aber noch nicht einmal die widerlichsten Figuren in Todd Fields Little Children. Noch schlimmer sind die vordergründig "Erwachsenen", die sich einander genauso verbohrt wie grausam behandeln. Üble Nachrede, eines der Hauptmotive von Little Children. Dabei sind sie alt genug, um es besser zu wissen. Das Problem nur: Sie kennen sich selbst kein Stück! Little Children führt uns nach New England, das uns wie in einem Horrofilm serviert wird. Good Suburban Life Drama

This is definitely one for the more mature audience. I thought this was a good movie. It had that Desperate Housewives kind of feel where everything looks good on the outside, but on the inside everything was in shambles. It was a good story and told in an interesting way. The voice over was a little weird. I don't know how I feel about that, but it was still an interesting story. I thought the problem with this movie was the development. You didn't seem to really know any of the characters. There were akward parts where stuff happened and then you never heard anything more about it. I feel like there should have been more. I also don't know how I feel about the ending. I mean, I suppose you can figure what happens, but I'm sick of that abrupt ending in a lot of these movies. If a movie …

Fascinating Suburban Drama

I love films about suburbia because it's mostly funny to see so many depressed people in one area. Although this one had its comical moments, there were a lot of serious and fascinating character studies. It started off really well because of the filmmakers' astute way of using narration. Such a technique allowed me to understand and relate to the characters that much faster, and therefore understand their choices later on. I thought Kate Winslet was perfect as mother that is unhappy about her marriage so she decided to look for excitement. I completely believed Patrick Wilson as a stay-at-home dad with clipped wings. And I wanted to know more about Jennifer Connelly who played a working mother who has no idea about what's really hapenning at home. Somehow, everything felt right even …
