I bought this film at a vid store clearence sale for a few dollars. I wasn't expecting much, but I like Liv Tyler and IFC films so I thought I'd give it a try. I took it home, poped in in, and waited. Early in the film I realized it is somewhat of a black comedy, but a good one at that.

Depressing, but realistic slice-of-life with good work by Mary Kay Place and Mark Boone Junior; if only the love story and main character weren't so preoccupied and distant, it would have been a solid independent gem and worth recommending. Final Grade: C+
