The middle part is no less epic than the one before or after it.

Okay this movie is called the two towers I mean the title sound's like twin towers. This movie had some good and some Bad, I mean this movie is still epic as hell but the full movie is talking.

As a connecting film, the Two Towers falls into some of the similar traps that most second films in a trilogy do. It is a little long on exposition and a lot of the character relationships simply serve to set up a bridge to the epic third film. Still, as it was shot simultaneously with the other films, it bears some of the same visual eye that masterfully brings Tolkien's world to life. It may be the murkiest of the trilogy, but it has its moments of action and adventure.

The bridge between the first and third parts is the least thrilling of the three, but still retains the integrity and awesome story and characters of the series.

Frodo and Sam meet Gollum who becomes a guide. Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli tries to rescue Merry and Pippin. The unexplained resurrection of Gandalf battles a Balrog. Arwen helps the elves. One of the best scenes was the Battle of Helm's Deep. Too much going on when it comes to the plot and direction because of the number of characters in different places. One noteworthy performance was Sean Astin as Samwise Gamgee. The score, costume and cinematography top notch but mainly focuses on Gollum and battles. Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers was a decent sequel to connect the stories, which is the only main purpose it was created.

Easily the weakest in the trilogy, but still a masterpiece.

Probably the worst of the series. But, still definitely a great movie in its own right.
