Love Actually' isn't all that great, actually. Really cheesy and very predicable of how certain scenes are gonna turn play out. However, I guess that's the charm of it all, because I would consider this one of my guilty pleasures. The film really captures the spirit of Christmas and Bill Nighy was fun to watch. Nighy has the best story in the movie, in my opinion. Andrew Lincoln, on the other hand, is creepy as hell in this movie. Even Lincoln himself admitted it. Putting aside the creepiness, it's still the most Christmas of all Christmas movies you'll find.

One of the best and excellent movies I've ever watched. First of all I didn't expect that much from this movie, but after minutes flew by, it became more and more interesting. What a pure, sincere and lovely movie. It makes you think, it makes you smile and and it lets you cry. Love, that's the only thing that bonds people to each other. Also, I've to say I've never thought of arrivals in airports this way before. Will watch again for sure!!!

Unashamedly, Love Actually is one of my favorite films. Contrived as it is, it is the perfect example of a successful ensemble film, carefully and neatly tying all of its storylines together into an explosion of pure holiday joy and love. Not only does it work as a romantic comedy, but the film manages to encapsulate the childlike feeling of happiness that is nostalgically attached to Christmastime. The film also injects a fair amount of "Four Weddings" style humor, chiefly from Bill Nighy's brilliant turn as a cynical and aging rockstar.

I watched this again and decided to rate it a bit higher. I guess I was feeling a bit critical when I rated it before. Not an example of great film making, but it definitely is a good example of a movie about relationships (ten couples). This is something I'll include in my short list of things to curl up with during holidays. Many heartwarming moments and opportunities for tears of joy. The idea that love is everywhere on the planet and that everyone has a story about relationships is a wonderful antidote to the seemingly endless torrent of hate and hopelessness we're inundated with daily.

A fine Holiday treat, albeit sometimes a very dramatic one. Richard Curtis (of "Four Weddings and Funeral" fame) handles the interweaving stories quite well in my opinion. A nice comedy that will, in the end only uplift. Performances by Bill Nighy (especially funny in this film), Colin Firth, Liam Neeson (in a very touching role), Emma Thompson, Alan Rickman, and Natalie Portman all sparkling well-done, create such a wonderful atmosphere for comedy and drama. A recommended film.

A horrible example of British film-making. It starts terribly and just rolls on downhill from there. This isn't love actually, this is movie love, where every emotional scene is backed up by a sickly love song which attempts to manipulates the viewer. Its a complete and utter embarresment.

This movie is not for everyone. It starts off a little slow, but once you get into it you just start to fall in love with the characters. Its cute to see how all the love stories play out. I like it, because they are simple and realistic stories, not some epic and enchanted love story that moves mountains which happens between every 2 out of 250,000,000 people. This is one of my favorite movies to watch around the holidays. Its just something that will make you happy.

I loved this film. A charming, touching romantic comedy. There are so many great things about the characters and the individual stories. Definitely a chick flick.

This movie has a very English-feel to it. It is in no way like American films, such as Transformers and Titanic. It goes through simple lives of simple people who are in love. Its a great story, with great characters. The script itself is written well, but not in a standard format that many (American) scripts follow. A must-see!
