"Monster House" is worth watching even though it becomes a bit too intense for kids of all ages at times.

A fine animated fantasy adventure, with mystery and horror overtones. It's an imaginative and fun ride that contains great visuals and some very funny humor. If this had been made when I was a kid, it would probably be one of my favorite movies.

I found the conclusion of this animated film to be a little too sappy, but the first two thirds do a good job of balancing suspense and comedy. The voice acting is top notch as the cast disappears into their roles.

This movie was a dissapoinment. There, I said it. While the animation was good, the plot was not carried out well. This was made to be a kids movie, but lots of kids might be scared of it. I don't think it deserved its Oscar nomination. Judging by what I saw, it could have been better.

This movie has made massive advances in the realm of motion capture 3D. Up until this point, most mocap movies would capture the bodies, and hand animate the facial expressions. Everything including the expressions were captured here in the same session. The voice and motion capture were shot entirely in 34 days, which for a fully animated feature is amazing.

Overall mediocre animated film that is too scary for the young children and too plain for the adult crowd. Voice acting is pretty good, and the house animation is great - but overall pretty disappointing.
